Satchari National Park is situated near the city of Sylhet in Bangladesh, in the Chunarughat Upazila of Habiganj district. The forest is located 130 kilometers north east from Dhaka, and 60 kilometers south west from Sreemangal. It covers an area of about 243 hectares and is picturesque hills and forests surround this forest.  

9 tea gardens are located near Satchari National Park. Satchari tea garden is situated on the western side of the garden, whereas Chaklapunji tea garden on the eastern side. There is also a tribal village named Tiprapara inside the park where 24 tribal families live. The people of the surrounding fourteen villages, especially tea plantation workers and forest dwellers are dependent on forest resources in various ways.
